Admission Guide for International Students (Undergraduate, Spring 2017)
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
New Students
Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy the following conditions and academic abilities.
A. Conditions
Foreign nationals whose parents have foreign nationalities and who have completed and earned a high school diploma or higher degree
*In case of Taiwanese nationals, if one of their parents has Taiwanese nationality and the other has Korean nationality, he/she is eligible for the application.
B. Academic Ability (① or ②)
、 Applicants who have level 3 or higher in TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) or
*Applicants who have completed or who are expected to complete the Jeju National University Korean Language Course Level 4.
*Jeju National University Korean Language Course Level 4 Applicants who have completed or who are expected to complete the Jeju National University Korean Language Course level 4 must complete the course with more than 90% of attendance rate or obtain level 3 or higher of the 49th TOPIK held in 2016 for admission. Otherwise, the admission will be cancelled.
※ Department of Tourism Management: Applicants who have level 4 or higher in TOPIK
、 Applicants who have obtained TOEFL PBT 530, CBT 197, IBT 71, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600, or an equivalent score.
※ This is not applied to the departments of Korean Language & Literature and Japanese Language & Literature.
-The invalid certificate is not accepted as of application deadline.
Transfer Students
Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy the following conditions and academic abilities.
A. Conditions
Foreign nationals whose parents have foreign nationalities and who have graduated from a college (or who are expected to graduate from a college by the end of February 2017) or who have completed the second year at a university (or who are expected to complete the second year at a university by the end of February 2017), having 65 credits or more. (Students with less than 65 credits should apply as new students.)
*In case of Taiwanese nationals, if one of their parents has Taiwanese nationality and the other has Korean nationality, he/she is eligible for the application.
※ Department of Nursing: Applicants should have obtained more than 14 credits of the following subjects.
- Subjects regarding the Anatomy (over 2 credits) Subjects regarding the Physiology (over 2 credits) Pathology (over 2 credits) Microbiology or Pharmacology (over 2 credits) Statistics (over 3 credits), Biology (over 3 credits)
B. Academic Ability: Applicants who have level 3 or higher in TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean)
※ Department of Tourism Management: Applicants who have level 4 or higher in TOPIK
※ Faculty of Biotechnology(Biomaterial, Animal Biotechnology): Applicants who meet one or more of the following conditions.
、貯pplicants who have level 3 or higher in TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korean)
、贏pplicants who have obtained TOEFL PBT 500, CBT 210, IBT 80, IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550, or an equivalent score
、跘pplicants whose English proficiency is acknowledged by their academic professors of university they have attended
、蹵pplicants who have studied more than a year and earned credits can apply for the admission without TOPIK score
